Today, is Wednesday and you all know what that means! It means that it's Hump Day, and the "Hump Day Blog Hop". This is hosted by Fitness Blondie, an amazing and positive blog I
stalk follow. I found a bunch of great
new blogs to read, and a lot of new positive
bloggers! I have been doing this for a while now and each week, the new bloggers I follow become like new friends... We are a
support system of awesome sauce... Are we not?
Go check it out.. and Join in!
I also, ususally link up with Vodka and Soda... I found her through the Hump Day Blog Hop over at the Fitness Blondie! However, the websense at my job has dictated her BANNED! So, I add my link to her blog via my phone... I'm sneaky like that! Vodka and Soda was an instant "I MUST ADD THIS BLOG TO MY FEED"... I recommend you heading over and linking up with her too.. as long as your work firewall allows you too (stupid job). Kathy is hysterical - I also recommend you not taking a sip of ANYTHING while reading her blog!
So without further ado..
I confess that my alarm went off at 4:40a every day of my Stay-cation Honeymoon - for the sole reason of getting my butt in the gym and getting some form of exercise in.
I confess that even though the alarm went off at 4:40a - that I turned it immediately off - and cuddled up next to Klay until it was time to wake Emry for school. I'm not even sorry. Not even a little.
I also confess - that if I had it my way - I would have NEVER hired a professional photographer for our wedding. Why? We had 1 professional photographer and 3 amateur photographers on the guest list - I already have over 400 beautiful pictures! If I would have known - I would have saved the (almost) $3k.
Waking up for work on Tuesday was WAY TOO EASY. I was overly excited to get back to my schedule - and to get into my new workout routine. (Side note: I'll write later about this - I'm too excited to wait any longer to tell you about it.)
The one thing I did not miss about working - the commute - Jesus H. Christ on a MoPed! Can people drive any worse at 5am. I mean, let's be freaking honest hear, there is no way that you are racing to start work at 6a - So you're totally trying to get there early - and beat the rush hour - DO YOU NOT FREAKING REALIZE THAT ASSHATS LIKE YOU ARE THE REASON BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC EXISTS? Driving like a moron causes ACCIDENTS. Just saying. Dumbasses.
The day before I went back to work - and to healthy - we had pizza and a calzone for dinner - I even had a tiny glass of (GASP) soda with it. I know - flog me now.
I must have been dressed really frumpy yesterday - because one of the (overweight) co-workers asked me "So, you got to start back at square one?" I cocked my head and looked at her - there was no way she was saying that I looked like I had gained 50 pounds.. right? I may have gained 5 - I'm really not sure - I know that mid week I was still within a healthy range - but - I couldn't have looked like a balloon enough to be "back at square one". I don't even think I answered her. I just walked away.
Last time I wear a maxi dress and an oversized sweater to work - just saying.
I bought these really cute silver flats for my rehearsal dinner - and I have been wearing them with everything - ever since. Is it wrong for a 30 year old woman to wear sparkly silver flats? Meh - maybe if I click my heels I'll go home. HAHAHA
I want to get two or three weeks of regular fitness under my belt - and then I am going to
demand ask Klay if I can take a little of our wedding funds - and GO SHOPPING. Like for casual - non t-shirt, workout clothes, pj - CLOTHES. I have basically two types of clothing: WORK & GYM/BED - because sweat pants can be worn to bed or just around the house. I have a small sub section of "Things I can Hike in". And that means a whole bunch of funny t-shirts.
I confess - I am no longer wearing said funny t-shirts when we go to Emry's soccer games, or out to dinner - I want to look like a girl. *GASP* When the heck did THAT happen?
We started taking Taekwon Do and Hapkido in the same dojang where Emry trains. I have a lot of prior experience with TKD - but going to last nights class - I was sweating from every pore of my body. But, I looked pretty good while doing it!
OH - and my last confession - I am totally embracing the two blue streaks in my hair - they are barely noticeable - and I think they are super cute - So, I don't plan on getting rid of them - anytime soon. My inner rock star is SCREAMING to come out!
|I look way cuter than this - but how HARDCORE IS HE?|
|I won't go this far - but - you know - it could happen!|
So what do you confess?
Did you have the same AhA moment with your wardrobe?
